IMRT Treatment Planning
Before we run more iterations, we can make some changes in the optimizer. Raising the number in the 3rd column (red arrow) can increase the weighting to that structure, thus giving it more priority in the optimizer. Also, keep an eye on the Goal column (Green Arrow). That is the percent of the goal achieved. In the case of the right kidney, the optimizer believes it is giving you 98% of what you have asked. However, that remaining 2% might be the part that puts it over the limit. In some cases it would be wise to lower the target goal (1500) a bit lower.
