Lesson: 2 Fld vs. 4 Fld Module

 

Assignment

Start tPLUNC on the Module-2fld_vs_4fld : case 1 patient, as follows:

  • All of these assignments share a single patient.
  • When you are finished with each assignment, check it against the results plan: save your plan, then retrieve the corresponding results plan. Switch between these plans to view details such as dose, DVH, and spreadsheet.
  • If you are only interested in viewing the dose of two plans at once, you can try Plans -> Compare Plans to compare the current against a saved plan, the Plans -> End Compare Plans to return to normal tPLUNC single-plan use.

Assignment Plan #1
AP/PA treatment
200 cGy x 25 fx (5000 cGy)
1 cm margin around Student_PTV1

Assignment Plan #2
In Plan #1, you will notice that the cord receives too high of a dose. Reduce the cord dose by adding a pair of lateral beams. Use the same dose and fractionation.

Assignment Plan #3
In Plan #2, the liver dose is higher than desired. Reduce the liver dose by changing the weight of the pair of lateral beams to 0.2 with the same dose and fractionation.
